We inform you that according to Government Gazette 4919 / Β / 24-10-2021, movements regardless of destination (from ports of mainland Greece to the islands and other mainland ports, between the islands, as well as from the islands to the mainland ports) are allowed provided that passengers:
- A) From 12 years and over:
Have completed at least fourteen (14) days prior to COVID-19 coronavirus vaccination and demonstrate a vaccination certificate, or
Have been diagnosed negative either in a laboratory test for COVID-19 coronavirus by the PCR method performed by smear or nasopharyngeal smear within the last seventy-two (72) hours before the scheduled travel time or in a rapid anti-COV test. (rapid test) within the last forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled travel time, or
They display a disease certificate issued thirty (30) days after the first positive test and its validity lasts up to one hundred and eighty (180) days after it.
Diagnostic tests by PCR method and rapid detection of coronavirus antigen COVID-19 (rapid test) for unvaccinated passengers are performed in private diagnostic laboratories or in private clinics or pharmacies, at their own expense and are proven by mandatory electronics.
On islands where there are no private diagnostic laboratories or private clinics or pharmacies, the diagnostic tests are performed by municipal clinics and are proven in the above way.
B)
Minor passengers from four (4) to eleven (11) years old can also be transported by performing a self-test that takes place up to twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled travel time (free availability). The self-test statement is issued through the website gov.gr.
Especially minors from twelve (12) years and over, who travel by ship, boat and sea taxi to schools and other necessary school activities, can make their travels by conducting a self-test that takes place up to twenty four (24) hours before the scheduled travel time.
Passengers must present to the person in charge of the Financial Service during their boarding, before the departure of the ship, all the above-mentioned necessary documents.
Please note that passengers who do not hold the required medical certificates / certificates or who simply refuse to show identification documents associated with the medical certificates / certificates on display will not be allowed on board even if they have a ticket.
The use of a protective mask is mandatory.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the port of departure on time to facilitate the pre-boarding inspection process.

Unfortunately, without the presentation of the printed ticket or the e-ticket you will NOT be allowed to board the ship. The printed ticket is required and cannot be replaced by the booking number, the display of the ticket number or the booking confirmation.
Tickets are picked up at the port either from the company’s headquarters (may not be in the port) or from the company’s kiosk in front of the ship’s departure point. To pick up, you will need to have your system code, ferry company code (listed on your booking confirmation page) and your ID with you.
I do not find the island I want to travel to in the ferry ticket reservation system.
In the online booking system, choosing an island will give you results for all the ports of the island – especially when there are two or more ports on the same island.
In case you do not find an island or port that you are looking for in the list, or the destination you are looking for is not provided or there is no such route.
To be able to travel you will need to issue new tickets.
In any such case, please contact us or the ferry company directly, to inform you about the procedure you must follow.
Usually not needed, however you can confirm the departure time by calling the port authority of departure.
The system accepts departure and return from a different port, even if you are going to return with a different company, in case the port of arrival and departure of your return is in the same geographical area (eg arrival in Chania, return return to Heraklion). If the system does not recognize the return port you will need to make a new booking for your return.
In most cases there is no difference in the price of return tickets compared to the price in two one-way bookings.
Nevertheless, in some ferry companies the return ticket contains a significant discount rate.
Each ferry company follows a different policy for unaccompanied children and for this reason we suggest that you check the policy of the company you are interested in, before completing your booking.

In case you have not selected invoicing details at the stage of payment, the document is issued to the details of the first passenger in a row.
It is possible to change the invoicing details after the issuance of the permanent document, however the date of issue of the document also changes.

Open return tickets are only available to some ferry companies. In order to find out about the possibility of issuing an open ticket, you will need to contact the shipping company directly.
Open tickets must be used within a specific period, which is defined by the respective policy of the shipping company and can be different for each company. After the end of the season, open tickets cease to be valid.
According to Greek legislation, ships under the Greek flag over 25 meters, it is necessary to have specially designed areas for pets traveling with their owners. In addition to the law, each shipping company follows its own policy on pets on board and always depending on the route.
Most ferry companies offer the option of picking up your tickets directly at your port of departure or at their headquarters (they may not be in port).
During the booking process you will be asked to choose how you will receive your tickets. To pick up your tickets at the port before the departure of the ship you must, if there is an option, select “Pick up from the port” and the confirmation of your reservation as soon as it is completed will show relevant information.

It is important to choose the right type of vehicle, in terms of measures.
The control of the names on the ships is not so strict and therefore you are not expected to face any problem during your boarding. In case you wish to proceed with a change of ticket, then this is done with the terms mentioned for the cases of change of tickets.
In some cases, the respective shipping company makes changes to its timetables or cancellations of itineraries for various reasons.
In such a case, you will receive a relevant information from the shipping company via sms on the mobile phone that you have registered in the reservation.
In case the voyage is canceled through the fault of the company and not due to emergency damage or damage to the ship, then:
- You are entitled to a refund of the price of your ticket for the canceled route.

We recommend that you arrive at the port of departure at least 90 minutes before departure time.
Depending on the ship and the company, the cabin types vary.
If you select “Cabin Bed” for one passenger, then the passenger will not enter an exclusive cabin, but with other passengers of the same sex.
If you want an exclusive cabin, then select the “Full” seat type.
The difference between an internal cabin and an external one is based on the position of the ship. The exterior has a window while the interior does not.
According to the restrictions of the ticket system, an online reservation can include up to 9 passengers and up to 3 vehicles.
In the online booking process, you will be asked to specify the age category of each passenger.
Usually, the age categories are the following, however they are defined by the respective ferry and may be modified:
– All passengers over 10 years old are considered adults.
– All passengers from 5 to 10 years old are considered children.
– Infants are considered passengers under 5 years old.
The following companies, however, have set a different policy:
Seajets: Infants 0-2 years old, Children 2-5 years old
Minoan Lines: Infants 0-5 years, Children 5-16 years old
Aegean Speedlines: Infants 0-4 years, Children 4-10 years
